I've just finished reading AAC borrowed from Ms Ricca and in a dreamy state right now. The story's quite different except for the essence of it.
The whole story's full of emotions. The movie has a lot of kebabom stuff that make you go OMG! or SHE'S SUCH A BITCH! (eh syah eh) but the book make you go omg..omg....omg......... the pace of the story is slower, less drama but nevertheless engaging and keeps you at the edge of your seat.

Again, Fahri qualifies as the perfect muslim man.

Maria appears cuter and more adorable I guess and I really really really admire and kesian Nurul she is so...haiya. In the book Nurul's parents went to see Fahri to ask him to marry her on the same day that he happened to kirim them his invitation card to his wedding thru a friend. So he hasnt actually married aisha. He was feeling really really really bad for Nurul because if only they had come just a few days earlier he would have married Nurul because he has known Nurul way longer than aisha. So technically the day before his akad he is stuck between 2 ladies, but he knows that he cannot cancel the marriage, so he had to reject Nurul's proposal. And actually Nurul had loved him a long time ago but her dad didnt have time to come down to meet Fahri to tell him that Nurul loved him. Kesian Nurul, it wasnt her fault..she had pestered her dad to go meet Fahri but just as her dad meets him, Fahri was alr gna marry another woman. She was sad but she was nice about it, but Fahri adviced her to marry another guy and she did. She married his friend also from Al azhar.

There were also more stuff which shows his strong friendship with his flatmates, how he was the leader because he was the oldest and the longest in Cairo and his flatmates all look up to him. They're damn cute lah, Like funny cute. As in the whole gang is damn funny and cute! They cook and buy groceries, then when Fahri passed his sth sth they had a little jamuan at the rooftop at night the whole gang, and they bought lots of food just enjoying themselves sitting on the floor eating with hands. There was also once when Maria's family, mum dad and younger bro (Maria has a younger bro and he's quite close to the Fahri and gang) brought them all out to eat at a grand restaurant. And they were pretty funny.
They were so underdressed whereas Maria and family were so dressed for the occasion. Damn funny.
" Terletak di piggir sungai Nil. Bersebelahan dengan Good Shot dan Maadi Yacht Club. Pantas saja mereka berpakaian dan berpenampilan serius. Kami berlima berpandang-pandangan. "Santai saja. Kita ini turis. Turis kan bisa berpakaian santai?" bisik Hamdi dalam bahasa Indonesia." Haha right. He's so in denial! Rudi was wearing training pants, buat main bola punya.

Haha then Maria and her adik went to visit Fahri and Aisha newlyweds at their apartment and Maria's adik brought like a present gitu. Then when Fahri opened it when they left he was like kurang ajar Yousef dan Maria itu!. Aisha was like why?why? He was reluctant to say it but aisha pesteres him. They brough him sth. Which was similar to or stronger than viagra.

Anw, besides the cuteness of all of them (Fahri is so cute when he's funny!!!!), the story is so full of true l o v e. There was much more stuff on Fahri and Aisha spending time together and I swooned the first time Fahri called Aisha sayang. swoonsome swoonsome. Because at first they were awkward..and the susu ya allah cutenya. They were at the balcony under the stars and sitting on a bench and aisha brought two glasses of milk. Fahri drank the milk and said it was masin and asked Aisha to try. She drank a bit and said it was manis what, Fahri drank again and insisted that it was masin. And Aisha tried it again and she was like huh manis whatt. Then Fahri ask he to dip her tongue inside abit to taste it better cause she only taste a bit a bit mana boleh rasa. Then when Aisha did it she said ya its manis what! Then she handed it back to Fahri and he drank it and said, oh now that the bidadari's saliva is in it it makes a masin milk turn manis! haha! gross but cute. And then there wasnt awkwardness anymore. Then the part when they kissed Aisha was reciting a love poem to him and then he shut her up halfway by kissing her.

Aisha is so much nicer and sweeter and cuter and not very i'm a rich girl. As in she's damn rich lah but i dno she seems nicer in the book.

And nurul also wrote a letter to Fahri, i nearly jump when Nurul asked if she could poligami with him.
"Jika ada kesempatan mohon bukakanlah untukku untuk sedikit menghirup manisnya hidup bersamamu. Aku tidak ingin yang melanggar syariat. Aku ingin yang seiring dengan syariat" But despite that, she wasnt as desperate as Maria, she's cool about it when Fahri rejected her.

If i could type out the whole book I would. The book is so full of lovely things you cant help it. Yes its not as kebabom as the movie but every little thing was more detailed and it makes the whole journey of the story more meaningful.

There was also more about how Fahri was tortured in the prison, aisha nearly being raped by one of the corrupted asshole police who arrested Fahri, when he was in prison.

Oh oh and in the book there was also once when Fahri got heat stroke so KESIANNNNN!!!! And he was unconscious and sick and alahhhh kesiannnya. But he got better.

Oh k yes yes one last quote. I was like omggggg.........how could sheeeeee. This was when he was sick and unconscious. From Maria's diary.
"...Aku takut sekali kalau dia mati.

Both the movie and the book are damn good lah. Just that they are good in different ways. Depends on what you like lah the movie is more edge and drama whereas the book is sweet, lovey dovey, friendship, funny, more details. Both damn good lah. The movie is like how a good movie is and the book is like how a good book is. The movie can make you cry and get terperanjated on your seat and swear and one after another kebabom kebabom whereas the book is slow and steady but the quality of it is there and it touches your heart like aww so sweet or aww so cute.
